Amy is a lawyer in South Florida who specializes in land use and zoning. Prior to becoming a lawyer, she was a Kindergarten teacher for five years. She is also on the Board of Directors of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers, Miami-Dade Chapter and a member of the National Association for Professional Women, Dade County Bar Association, and American Bar Association.

Amy was recently diagnosed with AS after several years of symptoms with no answers. She started this group with the commitment of offering an opportunity to exchange information, discuss concerns, and share experiences unique to the diagnosis of spondylitis with others who have been diagnosed or with family members of those who have been diagnosed.

Through this group, it is her desire to spread awareness of spondylitis and begin annual fundraisers for spondylitis in South Florida.
