I live in Indianapolis with my wife Kelsey, daughter Jemma, and labradoodle Freyja. I can’t imagine going through life without the incredible support of my family and friends, much less all the different medicines, treatments, diets, and exercises. Most of you reading these words understand that it also takes support from others who battle chronic illness to get through some days. It’s a special kind of connection that spondylitis sufferers share, even though we come from different walks of life. I want the Indianapolis support group to be another tool in the bag so that we can build each other up and help each other along.
I love puzzles, games, Ultimate frisbee, and warm weather. You’ll sometimes find me volunteering and hosting fundraisers for a local Optimist group. I also work as a financial planner for a small practice. I’ve had symptoms since 2006 and was formally diagnosed in 2017. As a lifelong helper and learner, I look forward to serving as a support group leader.
