Jamming to Kick A.S: Raising Awareness for Ankylosing Spondylitis was a fantastic volunteer fundraising event held in July of 2017 to raise funds for SAA! Eric Koval and Chrissy Heater-Koval created a fun afternoon event sponsored by the Happy Valley Sports Bar in Dickson City, PA. In addition to 100% of the proceeds benefitting SAA, there was entertainment including music from local musicians (Rob Callis, Mike “MZ” Mizwinski, The Invisible Swordsman and The Village Idiots). There was plenty of food, music all day long, basket raffles and a 50/50 drawing. A cash bar was available, and a $10 donation cover charge was suggested at the door. This event was created to assist the Spondylitis Association of America with their research and awareness efforts. Eric and Chrissy have held subsequent Jamming to Kick A.S. fundraisers since 2017. SAA is grateful for their time, energy, and passion for helping SAA fulfil its mission.
