About SpA Awareness Month

About SpA Awareness Month

Spondyloarthritis Awareness Month, observed each May, aims to raise awareness of Axial Spondyloarthritis (axSpA) and its family of related diseases through education, support, and advocacy.

Within the U.S., 3.2 million Americans or 1.3 % of the adult population lives with axSpA. SpA Awareness Month raises the visibility of the community, domestically and globally within both the medical community and the public. This year, we will continue to provide tools and resources to help our community achieve better health outcomes as well as offer support and opportunities to connect with others living with the disease.
