TRAVEL POLICY

Travel support will be provided for qualified meeting participants.

  • Trainees (in a 3-year research fellowship and/or other fellowship interested in a SpA research career)
  • Early Career Investigators (within 5 years of completing fellowship and/or hold a mentored career development award such as an RRF/K)
  • Planning committee
  • Conference faculty
  • SAA board of director

Reimbursed travel expenses:

  • Bethesda Marriott Hotel Wednesday 9/27 and Thursday 9/28 (and additional nights if necessary to accommodate travel with SAA approval)
  • Airfare: up to $800 for North America economy class ($3000 for global conference presenters)
  • Ground transportation: up to $200 for airport transportation
  • Mileage for driving in lieu of flying at $.655/mile plus hotel parking

Included for all conference participants:

  • Conference registration
  • Meals (Thursday 9/28 breakfast, breaks, lunch, dinner; Friday 9/29 breakfast, break, lunch)
  • Transportation between the Bethesda Marriott Hotel and NIH
