The Spondylitis Association of America (SAA) and Curt Rocca were proud to present The Villara Capital Cup! This charity golf tournament raised much needed funds to help SAA with its mission of providing information and resources to help people impacted by this disease live better lives and champion research to find a cure. Curt and his son Grant are passionate about making a difference in the spondylitis community.
A little bit about the golf tournament. The Villara Capital Cup adapts the historic Ryder Cup format—steeped in tradition—to promote community pride, and healthy competition.
Each year, leaders from the Sacramento, California region are divided into two teams for an exciting 3-day golf competition. Donors had the opportunity to support their favorite player (or their favorite charity), as each player competed to benefit his or her favorite charitable organization. The winning team’s designated charities shared a prize fund of $100,000!
We are so grateful that Curt Rocca and his son Grant have chosen SAA as their charity to receive funds from this tournament. They join a long line of motivated SAA volunteers dedicated to raising awareness of ankylosing spondylitis and related diseases. The golf tournament ended on October 9, 2022. SAA thanks everyone who helped Curt and his family reach their fundraising goals!
