Attention Internal Medicine Residents, Medical Educators, and others who lead and mentor residents, The Spondylitis Association of America is launching a unique training program for internal medicine residents interested in rheumatology.
Led by rheumatologist and clinician educator, Dr. Sonam Kiwalkar (right), residents will learn effective teaching strategies, practice presentation skills, and have opportunities to lead axial spondyloarthritis training sessions at their own institutions/training programs.
Starting this winter, participants will take part in a short series of interactive online trainings to equip
them with the expertise on axial spondyloarthritis, as well as the strategies and skills needed to become
effective presenters.
Residents will have opportunities to provide training to their local primary care providers, co-residents,
and other healthcare providers in spring of 2024, thus standing out as leaders and subject matter experts
among their peers.
We’re recruiting internal medicine residents interested in pursuing rheumatology as a specialty.
