This holiday season, we asked the members of our community to reflect on gratitude: What are you thankful for? What events, occurrences, or life changes have been a bright spot in your life over this past year – or in general? Which people have put a smile on your face? What has created a meaningful or positive impact on your wellbeing? We share a sample of responses below, with our thanks. Happy holidays to all!
Grateful for Recent Work Change
“I am grateful for an understanding employer to allow me to make an internal move to a much less stressful position. I brought to their attention the mostly mental but also physical stress that I was under. The change didn’t happen as quickly as I had hoped, but now, I can live without the harmful effects of enormous stress and still feel like I contribute in a vital role. I am happy about this part of my life now!”

Grateful for Family
“I am grateful to my family and friends for their unconditional love and support throughout my life’s journey. Most of all I am grateful for every person that’s come into my life; past and present. There’s no denying certain relationships are more challenging than others, but through each we have an opportunity to grow and help others do the same. Every relationship teaches us something about
loving, trusting, forgiving, setting boundaries, taking care of ourselves, and taking care of each other.”

“I am grateful for the warrior spirit I inherited from my forebearers. Whatever nature throws at me, I know there is a will within me that has overcome that chaos.”
