On April 28, 2018 the Spondylitis Association of America hosted a free Spondylitis Educational Seminar in Denver, CO. Our speakers for the day were Rheumatologist Liron Caplan, MD PhD and Clinical Health Psychologist Jana Bolduan Lomax, PsyD. The seminar was supported by donations to the SAA and by educational grants by AbbVie and Novartis.

Rheumatologist Liron Caplan, MD PhD
Dr. Liron Caplan, MD, PhD, is the Director of the Spondyloarthritis program at the University of Colorado, section chief for rheumatology at the and a staff physician at the University of Colorado Hospital. His work involves clinically-oriented epidemiologic and health service research in the fields of pharmacoepidemiology and auto-immunity/rheumatology, retrospective analysis of databases, and construction/maintenance of patient registries.
Clinical Health Psychologist Jana Bolduan Lomax, PsyD
Dr. Jana Bolduan Lomax, PsyD is a licensed Clinical Health Psychologist in Colorado. Dr. Lomax is an adjunct Assistant Professor in the Graduate School of Professional Psychology at the University of Denver and is involved in program development and oncology research at SCL Health and St. Joseph Hospital’s Cancer Center of Colorado. Her career is dedicated to clinical care, research, program development, training, and community education focused on Psychosocial Oncology and adjustment to chronic and life-limiting illnesses.
