This shirt features an adapted illustration of Ankylosaurus from the artist’s book DINO STYLE: DINOSAURS & GRAFFITI.  Inspired by the artist’s father who has lived with ankylosing spondylitis for decades, the brave dinosaur warrior on this shirt is battling AS with the unstoppable strength of a tank.

Rob’s personal connection to AS in his own words:

“My father happens to be one incredibly tough dude. He’s my hero, but not just because he is my dad.  For decades, he has lived with Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS).  He lives every day of his life with a level of discomfort and pain that most would find completely foreign.  In spite of all this, he remains one of the most upbeat, positive, and social people I know.  His mantra is “Stay Strong and Keep Moving!”, and I can say with 1000% certainty that he lives by those words.  It’s my hope that designing this shirt will help bring awareness of ankylosing spondylitis to those who may have otherwise never heard about it, so they can have a better understand of what my dad and all those with AS live with.  This photo of me and my Dad was taken at my first book signing back in July.  With the exception of the SAA logo, all of the art on the shirt has been designed by me, down to the font which was created with my handwriting.”
